FUE vs DHI Hair Transplant: What's the Difference?

FUE explained
In FUE, the surgeon extracts follicles, then creates recipient sites and inserts grafts in two steps. This allows more grafts per session (up to 5,000) and is the world standard.
DHI explained
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) uses a Choi pen to extract and implant in one motion — no pre-made recipient sites. Faster healing, ideal for smaller sessions and eyebrow/beard work.
Which is better?
For large sessions (3,000+ grafts) FUE is usually recommended. For density-critical small areas or touch-ups, DHI shines. Your surgeon will advise after mapping your donor area.
