How to Choose a Clinic: 8 Questions to Ask
August 21, 2026

1. Is the hospital or clinic JCI-accredited?
JCI accreditation is independently audited every 3 years. It's the single strongest quality signal in medical tourism.
2. Who exactly performs the surgery?
Ask for the surgeon's name, credentials, and years of experience. Beware 'surgeon rotation' — insist your named surgeon operates.
3. What's included in the price?
Get an itemised quote: surgery, anaesthesia, hospital stay, hotel, transfers, medication, follow-up. The best packages list everything.
4. What happens if there's a complication?
Reputable clinics include post-op care and revision policies in writing. Get it in the contract.
5–8. The rest
- How many procedures has the surgeon done?
- Can I speak to past patients?
- Is there a WhatsApp/24h aftercare line?
- What does the 1-year follow-up include?
